i can't seem to understand a common growing trend occurring near me, or rather in KL actually at work to be precise. [name_changes] that is. umm a couple of years back, feng shui was getting really outta hand people were changing their names from debbie to gloria(supposedly to signify being outta debt and into glory ..pffft yeah big fuckin help the name change did for her) and heidi to summer (don't know if she's actually warmer now). The main thing to question here is how can you change your name? isn't your name a signifier for identity or does it not mean anything anymore? does it all mean i can change my name every month. "i wanna be called judas this month because i'm in a bitchy backstabbing mood?" one should invent a magic 8 ball to predict a mood and name for every day of the week; a normal version with common names and one specially for the HK/SG/MY market with names like fignon, effiel, stanforncious, gayles(i kid you not!), winchester .... the list goes on.
what's the price of your identity?
