30 more minutes till midnight, i have no idea why i'm still trying to post updates on birdpoo maybe it's an effort to make up for lack of updates. so i was thinking about this after reading about it on the herald - ATM in Grey Lynn closes due to fraud skimming.
Gosh, it's been 1.5 years since i've heard about ATM fraud, being so prevailiant in KL, i hardly bat an eye to ATM frauds before but since being away, this is like fucking CNN top news shitznit ... not! My kiwi friends, the fact that we still use non-chipped bank & credit cards means we are open to fraud heck as long as the bank pays us back, right? Without trying to sound racist, enough with preserving the old school shit and try to keep up will ya, New Zealand?
Everyday Everyone Everybody Everything is complaining about how kiwis are taking a step backward instead of forward. Which country still charges an internet monthly fee and a fucking ridicilous data cap i.e. NZD39.95 for a 256K/128K line with a 1GB cap <-- fuckin hell. Before you even start broadband, you have to pay a connection fee of $99 for Telecoms to 'open' a ADSL connection to your place and if/when you switch provider you pay that $99 again! Pay $149 for a technician to come to your house and 'connect' you which basically means coming to your house setting up the modem, enter username/password and installing the ADSL splitter. fuck broadband lets goback to dial up, for fucks sake.
let's not even get started with mobile providers. it's $1.39 per minute during daytime calls. fuckin hell. and the thing is these providers hook up with the council for SMS parking, the thing is it's a dollar or two for 1 hour in the city, the providers charge you 50 cents for using 'their' service and 30 cents for the SMS, so you've paid almost an extra dollar which you can use it to double up your parking duration.
what i am trying to get at here is, it seems apparent that the country does not want to go forward because at the end of the day, even if everyone thinks this country is beautiful (and it truly is) but i doubt you guys wanna be sheep herders for the rest of you lives, right? you don't want to end up visiting a developing country like Malaysia and go "Wooo .. Train travelling on elevated beams".
