IPOD fever

yes i fucking got bitten by the bug, i still do not wish to spend NZD600 for a NEW ipod despite looking sleek, i still prefer the bulky 1st & 2nd generation ipods (the ones with embossed click wheels). i've got in a few bids in auctions but we'll see how it goes this weekend till the next, yah?

The U2 gig is postponed indefinetely. you know date cancellations aren't new but the word indefinitely is not good. not good at all. for the die hard fans at least. but understandbly you would cancel your commitments too if your daugther is diagnosed with leukemia. so it's a little sad when you see comments like "i really hate U2 for cancelling their shows"; eventhough i've stopped listening to new U2 stuff (mainly because i'm old skool) i would still have loved to see them in Auckland.

++ must listen U2 songs ++
Pride(in the name of love)
Sunday Bloody Sunday
One
I still haven't found what i'm looking for
With or without you
Bullet the blue sky
Where the streets have no name
Mysterious Ways
Stay (faraway so close)

i watched flightplan yesterday, uhm a little predicatble, the suspense was good but the ending was rushed. Ms. Foster didn't play a very convincing aeronautical engineer working in Berlin who lost her daugther in a plane. the plot is a little too weak to have been carried on to a little over 1.5 hours. Possibly a 3 thumbs over five. Also saw Stealth, hmm the storyline is not new, the plot is too predicatable even though rob cohen tried to play the "protagnist becomes antagonist then back to protagnist card". Probably a razzie award winning performances. half a thumb over five. Next up, Jarhead, a film America did not want you to see. i guess it's the 'Full Metal Jacket' of the new generation. Jake Gyllenhaal plays a really convincing mindless soldier sent to fight in Kuwait, a simple message, let me know if you know what it is. four thumbs over five.
