it's a sad day for the kop indeed, stevie G is moving on. typical of obessive fans, this is thought of as a betrayal and as such they burned his jersey at anfield. just days ago, the glazer effigy was burnt at old trafford; them brits really love burning stuff. Lets hope he doesn't become a Los Galactico , please stevie don't listen to becks or owen (remember he played you out and you won the champions league).
So a week has gone by, i'm feeling like getting back to work (even though i don't have to but ..). Probably start with some proper documentation and preparation for a seminar. yup, you heard me, i gotta prep a seminar. what can i say? guinea pig i am. The wind's been blaring in from god knows where, howling and blowing icy winds, i haven't felt this cold since i bloody froze my bonita's off in Canada 10 years ago. you know it's cold when ..
- it becomes painful to even breathe
- your little toes feel like falling out
- you order a drink without ice
- it's best to stay indoors and lie that there a flu bug in the house
- you're thinking of sahara as the next place to visit
- you're taking a hot shower every 10 minutes, at the expense of turning into a cooked shrimp/prawn
- feel free to add more, my brain is frozen
watched gothika yesterday, yes yes, i know it's one of those movies that eluded me in the past. thankfully sky movies is decent enough to not have re-runs the whole fucking month (hint hint nudge nudge astro). i thought it started out good, it's not something i expect from mathieu kassovitz (the man who directed and starred in the lovable amelie), the ending of gothika was so predictable, then i remember films of similar nature - stir of echoes by david koepp (1999) and what lies beneath by Robert Zemeckis (2000)and kassovitz's own suspense french thriller les rivières pourpres (uhm crimson rivers).
on a separate note though, mattheu kassovitz is a class act director, look at gothika's scene shot at the pool and sanitarium external shots, classic horror, classic hitchcock. (i realised that my MA is getting to me, why can't i enjoy a film without de-constructing it ...arghhh!)
looking at quicktime.com, why is every damn movie a comic book adaptation? is the film industry so fucking dry, where are all the screenwriters?not that i'm complaining though ... the watchmen, remake of superman by bryan singer, v for vendetta, nick fury (yeah, damn i loved nick fury), silver surfer and it goes on.
* check this space for MA updates. thinking of breaking up the MA content to a separate page or blog.
