+ fantastic flop (maybe?) +

just watched fantastic four and my overall reaction after i got out of a cinema is "hmm this cost me NZD8.50 without popcorn too."

SPOILER ALERT

....

.....

you have been warned:: i thought that julian mcmahon did not exert his evil intentions as victor von doom, the arrogance is just not there. where's the guy that played dr.christian troy, the cold hearted player? dissapointing. certain parts of the movie were so freakin fast - the shot of the shuttle and BAM they're in space getting zapped by the electrical storm. they didn't even show victor was zapped by the storm and when he gets back, he's got a cut on his right temple. the story never really explains why when reed richards tried to reverse the electrical storm effect on his himself, he melted like butter on a hot pan. the story definitely needs some rework... and the ending where johnny "the human torch" storm lit up the sky with the FF4 logo --> corny man, corny.

jessica alba ...hmm what can i say, well better her than katie holmes; again julian mcmahon well is only interested in looking suave (hey mate, we're not on the nip/tuck set anymore)thankfully there's michael chiklis from the shield to play Ben"the thing" Grimm, though under layers of latex, he still manages to act. maybe jessica could take some lessons from him.

the adaptation is family oriented fun and don;t expect fireworks. Stan Lee again makes a cameo, this time as a postman.
