i seriously think i lost about 5-10 kilos on that fateful day. so i've handed up my mid year prsentation which essentially is just a digital workbook of current/past project experimentations. i'm happy with it, don't think i could have done anymore at this time. Also printed 3 noir ala frank miller styled posters, to go with them, altogether not too shabby but then again i'm not judging but being judged. On to more work, little spoilers to my much deserved rest, but yup i've got 2 BIG essays to prepare, a seminar to host and a year end presentation to prepare for.

1st item up is August 3rd - Hosting a seminar. As Masters students, we have to be open to critiques, ideas and dialogues especially with the body of knowledge (this paraphase fuckin sounds like someone i know), your body of knowledge consists of your 2 tutors and your fellow colleagues. honestly, isn't the "seminar" just another presentation? when the audience is internal. Seminar it is. So i've been given resource notes on preparing the presentation

in powerpoint. ok. i don't mean to sound bad or rude but i recall a lecturer X who used to teach using powerpoint. it's all fair and nice. but the paper was for animation. now i don't know if i'm missing the point here or i'm technologically underchallenged but you can't teach animation using powerpoint, it's like teaching 3D using Photoshop or word processing using desktop video. (let's not go into who should use PP and who shouldn't) besides i've got other ideas and funnily these ideas seem to appear when i'm showering in the evening. } more on the presentation ideas later {

i've received news that i'll be down to 3 hour teaching a week; i don't know if it's a blessing in disguise but in terms of the MA project (it's great) but in terms of the moolah-bility (it's totally fucked up). $$ aside, i'm glad that i still have something to do and prepare for in the weeks to come; god forbid that i'll be stuck at staring at 4 walls for weeks. i've come to realise that all the time in the world means nothing when you're stuck in a tiny apartment, trying to conserve as much capital as you can because you're thinking "hey this is cheaper back home, i'll buy it back home then!". and all the time in the world spells BOREDOM for me.

} end train of thought -> off for a haircut on a rainy day. {
