....And so it begins

the number one reason for not updating a blog is always WORK. i have heaps of it, anyone care to take some load off? Marking 40 storyboards can seem like forever when they all look the same (i've marked worst, recall last semester). I have another paper to mark due this Friday .. ahh it's easter this weekend, looking forward to a relaxing weekend .... WAKE UP ...

Amidst running down the hill, clutching 40 storyboards and sweating like a hog; i reach the class and panting like a olympic marathoner. BAM methodology's 1st assignment - a literature review. What the fuck? ( i rather type the whole word, it has more effect). I have to write a 1000-1200 word review with annotations. Annotations in the Endnote program. FUCK. I'm trying to grasp for air, thinking damn ...

A day earlier, was my first reading group. I'm happy to say i like reading groups, it's an open forum and bear in mind these are the same people that use BIG words on wednesday sessions. So each of us had to do a reading, i have no idea how i managed to lead a reading session about games/animation/design 2 days before my mid year assessment. FUCK. i'm drowning, air is of no substance now.

Back to Wednesday, Frenchy poo tells us in 2 weeks we'll have our 1st review of practice based work, so he wants to see practical experimentation next week. Wait isn't next week easter? yeah but school reopens on Wednesday. FUCK. i'm swimming with the fishes.

God, do all students feel woozy when overwhelmed with projects? i have this sinking feeling as though i can't make it, it's sort of a mix between feeling cold sweat and a suction in your chest. Then i begin to think, i should have done part-time or maybe another university. It all becomes clearer when i understand why i'm doing this in the first place - as one of my tutors put it - credential-ising which is a non existent word to mean an academic upgrade.

To more positive things, broadband installation is tomorrow, i have a long weekend to work on experimentation and sketching (i haven't done that in awhile). Will also be marking friday's paper and in between all that, probably take a trip to the beach for a swim.

Happy Easter everyone!
