Good News & Still Bored

a sigh of relief has been cast ....

AUT came back to me on DEC 13th with casual tutoring, which i happily accepted today. i was a little skeptical as the MA is also taking some of my time but i rather to be working than not. So i've just bought myself another semester in Auckland.

My ideas for MA topics remain on scraps of paper.

- digital graphic novel: a narrative fusion of interactive gaming & conventional media - e.g. the matrix trilogy with "enter the matrix" narrative style structure and project hellboy by dark horse.

- looking beyond web usability: the aesthetic experience - developing dynamic media with visual communication. (im anti web-usability). also semi developed a theory called "experience-nation"

- exploring interactive contents, techniques and styles - motion detection via webcams. (may included with the digital graphic novel idea)

im still exploring .........

missed the PC fair (don't give a shit anymore)

saw the incredibles last week, it was a brilliant idea for disney to purchase PIXAR, the only way to kill your competition is to BUY it. clever but expected storyline. i couldn't quite figure out the KRONOS password and story? thinking of it, it left a big loophole in the story too.

saw Phantom of the Opera by Joel Schumacher, stunningly beautiful. has more storyline than of the broadway version. a recommended love story.

looking forward to CONSTANTINE which should be called HELLBLAZER, the comic based supernatural character. Do a google search for John Constantine or Hellblazer. Keanu Reeves as JC? hmm...

it looks like comic characters are receiving the silver screen treatment .. hmm..screenwriters are running outta ideas?
